Why Sandia View Academy?
We believe God is the most important person for a young person to know! The goal of a Christian parent is for their child to know God in a personal way.
Whether a student attends school at home, public or Christian school, they will be shaped by the time they spend there and the people they interact with. A young person’s worldview, spirituality, academic and life tools are strongly impacted during their high school years. High school students spend 8-10 hours in and/or at school or school events each day. It should be no surprise to the parent of a teenager to know that a teenager spends more time at school and with their friends than they do with their parents or family. What influences do you want in your young person’s life?
Does a Christian education guarantee a student will choose Christ and to live a life in service to God? No. Given today’s societal moral pressures, we at SVA believe that Christian education provides the best opportunity for a young person to make the eternal choice to live for Christ and to develop the lifelong habits essential for spiritual success. At Christian schools, the faculty and staff are equipped to address the developing areas of a young person’s life.
We at Sandia View Academy take seriously the responsibility to develop our young people’s minds and to partner with our Creator, God, in our entire program. We know that developing skills in young people is essential to helping them reach their God-given potential. Christian educators help cultivate a worldview in which God has His rightful place, and they look to the Bible for guidance in answering life’s big questions. Our teachers and staff enhance young people’s spiritual development in an intentional and nurturing manner. This is why Sandia View Academy exits along with providing a quality education for the future success. We invite you to join us in this partnership.

What happens when weather is bad?
If weather conditions become too poor for school prior to the start of the school day, the school will notify channel 4, 7, and 13 and post its delay or closing information. While SVA most often follows Rio Rancho in school closing or delays, occasionally SVA follows APS or varies from the public systems. Check any of the above channels for confirmation.
In the event of poor weather after students are already at school, school officials will notify parents of early dismissal via email and/or phone.
