Keeping up with your classes matters. In high school, if you don’t pass a class you have to retake it. Be informed by reviewing the graduation requirements and plan ahead!
Planning for College
Preparing for college is a continuous event. Besides daily classwork and tests, the following items should be planned and prepped for.
Fill out FAFSA early spring. Most student aid is associated with deadlines, so aim to have FAFSAs to colleges by early February.
Financial responsibilities to current/past schools are often connect to student records. Check with your school to get records, such as Transcripts, to colleges as soon as possible for as they are connected to scholarship options, enrollment, etc.
Need a Transcript?
- Please plan ahead. Transcripts usually require 5-7 business days to process.
- Fill out Transcript Request Form and return it to the school with transcript fee.
- Forms may be mailed, faxed, or emailed but all must contain hand-signed signature. Payments may be made by check, money order, in-person, or over the phone by credit/debit card.
*Bills must be paid before transcripts can be released.
The ACT is offered through Sandia View Academy* only on specific Sunday dates. Go to ACT.org to register. Registration deadlines are very specific. Be sure to register in August for the fall test date and in January for the spring test date.
*All registrations must be done through ACT. SVA only hosts the test and is the only Sunday testing center in the State of NM. If you miss the ACT deadlines, SVA cannot test you.
The SAT is offered through Sandia View Academy* only on specific Sunday dates. Your first time registering cannot be done online if you are testing on a Sunday . To register, you MUST fill out paper forms and mail them. These can be obtained in the office. Plan AHEAD!! Registration deadlines are very specific. Be sure to register in August for the fall test date and in January for the spring test date. After registering by mail, you may make changes to the current test or register online for future SAT tests.
